For over 25 years Vanwell is still filling the military history niche in Canadian publishing and distribution.
The world of publishing has given us a roller-coaster ride this past year and we have been fortunate to be surrounded by good people and clients and that’s what publishing is all about: a people business.
We have had great success with many titles in our extensive naval histories and have built up a solid reputation for our military history publications. We would like to announce a couple of forthcoming titles Vanwell has in the fold, the first beng a new naval title on the HMCS Athabaskan during the Second World War comprised of veterans stories to tie into the 100-year celebrations of the Canadian Navy.
The next title is a huge 2-volume 600+ page examination of the War of 1812 expected in the Spring of 2010 – in plenty of time before the 200th anniversary. This particular book with have plenty of colour & b/w photographs, maps, and original period artwork. This will be the most comprehensive book available on the War for both sides of the border. A definite “must-have” for any historian and enthusiast.
